With an academic background in Law and communications, David has unrivalled experience of working both in Government and the private sector in Northern Ireland. A Special Adviser and Press Secretary to former First Minister David Trimble during the peace talks which led to the Good Friday Agreement and the formation of the Northern Ireland power-sharing Government between 1996 and 2002, David was responsible for managing all aspects of the First Minister's communications.
Since then he has amassed over 10 years of experience in the private sector and has established himself as an industry leader when it comes to devising and implementing public affairs, community and stakeholder engagement strategies for development projects and objection campaigns relating to retail, residential, commercial, energy infrastructure, healthcare, education, finance and renewable energy.
David has played key advisory roles in various projects for major clients such as NIE, Strategic Investment Board, ESB Wind Development UK, University of Ulster, Coca Cola, Diageo, Argos, Corbo, Northern Ireland Hospice and George Best Belfast City Airport.
Richard Bowman MRTPI
Director - Planning
Richard holds a BA Honours degree in Town and Country Planning from the University of West England and a Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning from Queen’s University Belfast. With almost 20 years of experience, Richard has held posts with Cambridge City, Omagh and Craigavon Councils and also spent a number of years in DOE Planning Service where he was positioned within the Headquarters’ retail policy unit as well as in development control in Derry.
Since 2001 Richard has held senior consultancy posts advising clients in both the private and public sectors on all aspects of planning including issues relating to retail, residential, commercial, healthcare, education, energy, planning appeals and inquiries, renewable energy and infrastructure developments.
Richard has provided high level, strategic planning advice to a range of major clients including Derry City Council, Strategic Investment Board, University of Ulster, Brickkiln, NI Water and NIE.
